If after your experiments you're still convinced their is a problem with LR 5.5 then please post a CR2 and a JPG from your camera using dropbox.com or similar so others can experiment and see if we see the same as what you're seeing. It could be some problem on your computer or it could be a problem with LR and having others replace the issue would help determine which.
