I am using Premiere pro cs6 for mac. I have several mov files that I use in my videos. Premiere used to work fine with them but suddenly now when I try to import the files I get the message "codec missing or unavailable". The mov files work fine when I open them in quicktime Player but don't work with Premiere anymore. Could a coded be corrupted? How should I fix this issue? Meanwhile I installed a program called "wondershare video editor", could that have somehow changed the codecs?
Thanks
Hi Cyrus Mir,
This sounds like an activation issue. Choose Help > Deactivate. Restart Premiere Pro. Choose Help > Activate. See if that works for you.
Thanks,
Kevin
